Ben Carbine & The 18 Wheelers
Skellefteå's biggest country band takes place on Summertime's second biggest stage. The nine-strong band from Skellefteå has been spreading country tunes across the area since 2005.
With a line up that includes steel guitar, banjo, electric guitar, bass, violin, drum, acoustic guitar, mandolin piano and five people on vocals, you understand that the music follows Malmsteen's slogan "more is more". The music can be described as happy and catchy and the repertoire consists of a mixture of well-selected covers and own songs.
Their last single Wide open highway was dedicated to Skellefteå's own asphalt cowboy Anders Lundberg from Svenska truckers and was played extensively on P4 last year. In May 2022 released they a new single Lay me down via A Westside Fabrication.
The band, which previously won the Country SM, was featured on Mr Music compilation albums and played at many festivals around the country are now current with a gig here at Summertime. The band announces that they will offer a fast-paced country experience that will take you on a trip to Nashville Tennessee.
