Tungsten
The band Tungsten is up to date with their third album "Bliss", which was released in June 2022.
The third disc sounds like Tungsten should sound; tight, hard and extremely well played metal with influences from both old and new. Folk music and industrial metal can be heard mixed with hard rock and sing-along-friendly choruses. The single "The Fairies Dance" from the debut album "We Will Rise" has reached 3 million listens on Spotify alone.
Tungsten consists of highly qualified Anders Johansson (ex. Hammerfall, ex. Yngwie J Malmsteen's Rising Force among others) and his two sons Karl and Nick Johansson on bass and guitar. Singer and frontman is Mike Andersson, who with his strong and varied voice makes the band complete.
Tungsten was formed in the summer of 2016 by Anders Johansson (ex Hammerfall, ex Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force) after he heard songs that his sons Nick & Karl had written. He asked if they were interested in starting a band with him. The singer was Mike Andersson (ex. Cloudscape, ex. Fullforce). The debut album We Will Rise was released in 2019 and the sequel Tundra in 2020.
The band has done appreciated live gigs a couple of times in Gothenburg and Stockholm and headlined a festival in Germany. Record label is German Arising Empire Records.
